Bogota, March 15, 2023 – Nu Colombia announces that will reduce the interest rate of its credit card, “La Moradita”, by 25% for customers with a credit limit approved by Nu of up to $3 million Colombian pesos (around US$ 630). This measure will positively impact 50% of the company’s customers and will be applied to all types of purchases, made nationally and internationally, of any category.
This initiative is added to the benefits that Nu offers its customers since the beginning of its operation in Colombia: zero handling fees, zero issuance or replacement charges, zero interest paying for purchases in full. With this proposal, Nu customers will see even more significant savings, which makes La Moradita one of the most competitive options in the local market.
“We believe that Colombians deserve more and better offers of fair, simple, and transparent financial services, especially in the face of the challenges of the current macro scenario. For this reason, we announce this new action of significantly lower interest, combined with our no-fee value proposition and 100% digital experience, making Nu one of the top cards in the market”, said David Vélez, Nu CEO, adding: “We are very happy with the significant progress of our operation in Colombia and we will continue to invest heavily in the country.”
With the interest rate reduction that will take effect on March 27, Nu Colombia continues to strengthen its commitment to providing people with a product that understands their needs and allows them to better manage their finances through the application. Likewise, it will continue to offer various financial education alternatives for Colombians.
