São Paulo, July 16, 2025 – Nubank, one of the world’s largest digital financial services, has been honored by CNBC for the second year in a row as one of the “World’s Top FinTech Companies 2025” in the Neobanking category. The ranking was compiled in collaboration with Statista, based on rigorous evaluation of KPIs such as revenue, growth and employee headcount, alongside editorial input from CNBC.
Statista also analyzed an additional 2,000 companies to ensure broad representation of names within the sector. Companies were assessed against a general set of KPIs, in addition to certain sector-specific metrics for their category. The neobanking category included digital-only financial institutions that typically operate with minimal or no physical branches, providing banking or bank-like services that can be accessed via a smartphone or computer.
The recognition reflects the fast, seamless and efficient Nubank customer experience which includes its no-fee international credit card, digital bank accounts, and personal loans. It also offers insurance products, investment products, crypto, marketplace, SMEs, and debit payment services – all of which are designed to be managed entirely through Nubank’s mobile app. These products have helped Nubank rapidly grow its customer base in Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia, reaching nearly 119 million customers.
