Nu México launches Cajita Turbo with a 15% yield and immediate liquidity

Mexico City, April 8, 2025 – Nu México today announced the launch of Cajita Turbo, a new savings option that offers a 15% annual yield and immediate liquidity. This new feature was designed to encourage savings among customers who have made Nu their financial ally in their daily transactions, using their credit or debit cards for at least one monthly transaction.

Customers will be notified through their Nu app when the Cajita Turbo feature is available to them. To keep this feature active, only one monthly transaction with any Nu card is required, regardless of the amount. The Cajita Turbo allows deposits of up to $25,000 pesos and any excess can continue to generate yields through other Cajitas options, such as freezing savings for different periods or maintaining 24/7 availability.

Cajita Turbo joins Nu Mexico’s existing offering, which includes a credit card, personal loans and a secured card, and Cuenta Nu Debit with money boxes that offer different savings yields, as well as a wide network of deposits and cash withdrawals. The Cajita Turbo feature will be gradually rolled out throughout the month of April to Nu customers who meet the eligibility criteria.
