Nubank activates “Street Mode” during Carnaval with Paolla Oliveira and takes fans to Pedro Sampaio’s parade

With Paolla Oliveira enjoying the street festivities, Nubank reinforces its pioneering spirit with "Modo Rua" and announces an exclusive activation with Pedro Sampaio and Spotify

São Paulo, February 3, 2026 – To kick off the Carnaval celebrations, Nubank, one of the world’s largest digital financial services platforms, has recruited Paolla Oliveira to join Brazil’s biggest popular festivity by activating Street Mode (Modo Rua), Nu’s security feature. In addition to the actress, Pedro Sampaio joins the Nubank squad, starting with the financial institution’s activation of the DJ’s parade in Salvador and Belo Horizonte, which will also feature invited influencers.

Nubank was the first financial institution to launch Street Mode in Brazil back in 2022, and today the feature already protects over 5 million customers. Now, Nu is activating the tool with Paolla Oliveira through a new lens: after five consecutive years as a Drum Queen (Rainha de Bateria), the actress will enjoy the festivities in the streets. By activating the feature, which limits transactions such as Pix, TED transfers, and bills outside of secure Wi-Fi networks, Paolla demonstrates how to enjoy street Carnaval with total peace of mind, security, and no stress.

“I love the contagious energy of street Carnaval; it’s a unique connection with the public. But, like everyone else, I also think about safety,” says Paolla Oliveira. “The idea of ‘activating my Street Mode’ with Nubank gave me the peace of mind I needed to dive headfirst into the party, while remaining connected and with my money protected. It’s about having the freedom to be happy.”

Nu and Spotify take fans to Pedro Sampaio’s parade 

While Paolla enjoys the street parties with Nubank’s security, we are expanding the celebration to the musical experience in partnership with Pedro Sampaio and Spotify. The DJ is partnering with Nu with activations on his parades in Salvador and Belo Horizonte. For “superfans,” the union between the brands will promote an unprecedented action: through a quiz on the Spotify app, the most frequent listeners will compete for an exclusive experience to follow the parade in Salvador on February 12, including giveaways. Fans will be invited to participate until February 3.

“I love it when my music becomes a real experience. Being able to take fans to the paradewith Nu is very special. I am very happy to join this team and I hope we can do many other activations like this,” says Pedro Sampaio.

Developed by the Nubank Creative Hub, the campaign will run on social media starting February 3. In addition to Street Mode, the communications also highlight the new Protected Pix, extra insurance for transactions and payments made via Pix, Nu Account, or Nu Card.
