Nubank begins testing new NuCoin

Relationship program reformulated to serve the company's largest segment, and first customers can now experience new mechanics for rewards

São Paulo, July 21, 2025 – Nubank announces the start of testing for the new NuCoin, its latest relationship program. The initiative addresses a demand for benefits and recognition from customers not previously covered by market relationship programs and goes beyond the traditional logic of benefiting only those who spend more on their credit card. With the new initiative, it will be possible to earn nucoins and compete for rewards by using the debit card as well. Gradually, other actions will be incorporated into the program, such as paying bills on time, registering a Pix key, and sharing data with Nubank via Open Finance, expanding the forms of engagement.

“We redesigned the program to be like no other, democratizing access to this type of initiative and allowing customers to enjoy the benefits in practice, going beyond the ‘used-earned’ relationship. In this first phase, NuCoin is being made available to a small portion of customers with reward mechanics gradually expanded. Our goal is to build and adapt relevant and attractive initiatives for this audience,” explains Arthur Valadão, Vice President and General Manager at Nubank.

The new NuCoin has been reformulated to recognize customers who centralize their financial life at Nu. By completing daily actions and engaging with activities within the app platform, customers will earn nucoins. With them, it will be possible to unlock advantages within the Nubank universe, including access to exclusive functionalities, event tickets, and discounts on Nubank products. This ecosystem also includes the institution’s partners, such as Shopee, Magalu, and Amazon, who are co-creating some of the dynamics with special conditions for Nu customers. With more nucoins, customers can also advance to new levels in the program, which will grant access to even more benefits and rewards.

Program testing will advance over the coming weeks with new features introduced progressively. Nubank customers participating in the old version of the NuCoin Program will be among the first to have access to the reformulated experience.

Among the in-app activities that can boost nucoin earnings and other rewards, highlights include:

  • Surprise Chest: Open once a week and win prizes, such as nucoins and unmissable offers. Chances increase with your level.
  • Thematic Quizzes: Exchange some nucoins to participate in quizzes and compete for prizes, such as discount coupons from partners.
  • Flash Offers: Customers can combine their nucoins to unlock unmissable purchase conditions for special limited-stock items, such as iPhones and TVs with up to 90% discount.

Who can participate in the new NuCoin

As the program expands to more customers, participation will be voluntary and can be done at any time through the Nubank app. Requirements include being over 18 years old, having a CPF, residency and domicile in Brazil, having an active Nubank account (credit card is not mandatory), and being up-to-date with your obligations.

Nu customers who have remaining nucoins from the old program will be able to use them in the new activities and will be automatically included in the new NuCoin over the next few weeks, without needing to sign up. Ultravioleta customers are not eligible, as they have access to their exclusive benefits package.
