Nubank Ultravioleta expands benefits for international travel

São Paulo, November 21, 2024 – Nubank Ultravioleta announces the expansion of its offerings of products and services geared towards international travel. The initiative includes 40 new currency options in the Ultravioleta Global Account, an expansion of countries covered by the free eSIM, and the inclusion of a guaranteed rescheduling service for airline tickets purchased through the app.

In addition to the US Dollar, Euro, and British Pound, 40 new international currencies can be purchased in the app, allowing the Ultravioleta Global Account customers, developed in partnership with Wise Platform, to maintain a balance in the local currency, making financial management easier in a single app during trips.

The international roaming benefit, which offers 10GB of free internet valid for 30 consecutive days via eSIM, has also been expanded from 135 to 195 countries, meaning it is now available worldwide. The service activation can be done through the Nubank app.

The Guaranteed Rescheduling solution offers flexibility in cases of flight delays or cancellations. For an additional cost, which varies according to the chosen flight, NuTravel customers can acquire the service at the time of booking. NuTravel will present the customer with options to be accommodated on a new flight with any airline at no additional cost, up to a limit of R$11,000 per traveler. If the customer prefers to wait for the delayed flight, they can opt for a refund of the original ticket price directly through the app, without needing to contact the airline.
