Nubank Ultravioleta presents exclusive VIP lounge at São Paulo International Airport

Located in Terminal 3, the Nubank Ultravioleta Lounge will offer unlimited access for Ultravioleta customers and one companion for free

São Paulo, February 13, 2025 – Nubank announces the Nubank Ultravioleta Lounge, an exclusive VIP lounge in Terminal 3 of São Paulo International Airport in Guarulhos (SP), featuring 1,000 m² distributed over three floors. Access for Ultravioleta customers will be available starting February 26. Users of this segment will enjoy unlimited access, with the right to invite one companion for free, and no restriction on the number of legal dependents under age, provided they are accompanied by the cardholder.

On the ground floor, where the reception and a relaxation lounge are located, customers will have access to a machine that issues Ultravioleta Global Account cards, offered in partnership with Wise Platform, after activating the account via the app. The Ultravioleta Global Account also offers benefits such as more than 40 currencies and a free travel eSIM with coverage in over 150 countries.

The upper floor features a mezzanine overlooking the takeoff lane,, a bar with a drink menu, and a buffet with menus inspired by destinations around the world. This space includes the Coffee Bar by Santo Grão, a quality hallmark from one of São Paulo’s leading references in coffee craftsmanship.

In the basement, Ultravioleta customers will find a lounge, a children’s playroom, a nursing room, a changing station, and a children’s bathroom. This floor also offers workstations and private spaces. All floors provide Wi-Fi connectivity.

“With the Nubank Ultravioleta Lounge, we aim to redefine the concept of traveling in style and comfort, transforming what is usually waiting time into part of the journey with a sophisticated and enjoyable experience. Our idea is that our customers can work, relax, or even have fun with their families before international flights,” says Aly Ahearn, General Manager of Nubank’s Ultravioleta segment.

The artistic direction of the Nubank Ultravioleta Lounge is by french interior architect and designer Delphine Araxi, also responsible for the management and curation of art and interior design at the Rosewood Hotel in São Paulo (SP). The menu is curated by the Charlô Group, including the Wellness Station menu, offering light and healthy options.

Details: The Nubank Ultravioleta Lounge is located in Terminal 3, Departure Lounge, of São Paulo International Airport in Guarulhos, and will operate daily from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM. To access the Nubank Ultravioleta Lounge, customers must generate an Ultravioleta Pass in the Nubank app. This feature will be available starting February 26 on the app’s home screen under “Ultravioleta Benefits” > “Discover Exclusive Experiences” > “Nubank Ultravioleta Lounge.” It’s also possible to initiate this process using the QR Code available at the entrance of the VIP lounge. Entrance is free and unlimited for Ultravioleta cardholders, with quick access via the Ultravioleta Pass. Entry to the lounge is permitted up to 3 hours before the flight departure time.

Exclusive Travel Insurance

Nubank also announces its Travel Insurance, at no additional cost for customers who purchase international tickets through Nu Viagens, an exclusive platform for Ultravioleta customers to buy tickets and accommodations directly via the app. Offered by Chubb, the world’s leading insurance company present in 54 countries, the insurance can be extended, at no additional cost, to up to five people, provided they are included in the same ticket purchase, without being limited to spouse and children. Activation can be done when purchasing the tickets.

In addition to standard coverage for international travel, the benefit includes access to virtual emergency care, available 24 hours a day, anywhere in the world, including prescription of medications. Medical assistance is provided in Portuguese, regardless of the destination abroad.

The insurance also covers trip cancellations for more than 15 reasons, as well as reimbursing expenses for pets, extended stays, damage or loss of luggage, and even flight delays. See coverage details here.

New Nationwide Campaign

To emphasize the enhanced travel experience and other products in the brand’s portfolio, Nubank Ultravioleta is launching a new campaign. Continuing the “How It Should Be” positioning, the communication tells the story of a trip between father and son that transforms a visit to Italy into a profound connection experience.

In the campaign, as the two revisit their origins, the son shows his father that traveling isn’t as complicated as he thought. With Ultravioleta solutions, the experience becomes seamless from start to finish. This includes purchasing tickets, booking hotels, internet access, and currency conversion.

In this new campaign, we show in practice how this happens — whether traveling, investing, or managing financial life,” highlights Juliana Roschel, Director of Marketing at Nubank. The campaign premieres this Thursday, February 13, nationwide on TV, social networks, print media, OOH, and digital platforms.
