The initiative is part of the company's actions to celebrate Entrepreneur's Day and already has more than 2 thousand businesses enrolled

São Paulo, October 5, 2022 – Nubank, one of the world’s largest digital financial services platforms, launches Páginas Roxas (Purple Pages), a platform for entrepreneurs to promote their businesses for free to 70 million people. The initiative aims to celebrate and support the company’s customers (both PF and PJ) who are business owners and gather in a single place more than 2,000 services from different segments, such as fashion, beauty, and education, among others.
“We want to give visibility to our customers’ businesses, so we decided to launch this initiative on Entrepreneur’s Day. We thought of Páginas Roxas as a way to give protagonism to these entrepreneurs and we want to offer the reach of Nubank channels for this. We are giving them a space to showcase their products and services to millions of people freely”, explains Isabela Abbes, Nubank’s Brand Director.
The platform works as a catalog of products offered by entrepreneurs who are Nubank users, and the idea is to connect them with potential customers, forming a network to exchange experiences in an exclusive space to promote their businesses. Selected influencers will promote their favorite companies and Nubank will further boost their reach through paid media. In addition, Páginas Roxas will have special lists with the main choices of personalities such as Anitta, singer and Global Ambassador of the company, and Monique Evelle, entrepreneur and journalist, as well as Innovation Consultant at Nubank.
“Páginas Roxas will be important for my business to be seen and recognized by more people. I think that being in this space reflects the credibility that Nubank has in the market and can attract not only customers but also possible investors,” says Flávia Barbosa, creator of Capins da Terra, a handmade tea store.
To make the purchase, interested parties must access the website, select the services and products, and then they will be redirected to the contact links of the stores.
X-ray of entrepreneurs
At the end of the first half of the year, Nubank registered two million business customers in its base – a growth of 150% in one year. Within this entrepreneur base with CNPJ, about two-thirds are individual microentrepreneurs (MEI) and the other third is composed of other types of businesses, such as micro and small enterprises. Most customers (52%) in this category are service providers or work as freelancers. In addition to the business customers, Nubank serves about eight million entrepreneurs with individual accounts.
Nubank has been expanding the services and reach of its PJ account, now also accessible to companies with more than one partner. Recently, the company started giving its eligible base access to a PJ credit card with no fees, which was totally redesigned with a silver, minimalist, and elegant design, with the option to customize the company’s name. Nubank has also invested in payment methods with lower fees, such as NuTap, which transforms the entrepreneur’s cell phone into a Point of Sale (or PoS machine) using NFC technology.
“We know how difficult it is to be an entrepreneur in Brazil. The intention of this platform is to help these entrepreneurs in one of their main pains, attracting new clients. And we believe that Nubank can be an important link in making the business wheel turn”, adds Isabela Abbes.
The registration of the Páginas Roxas started on September 15, Customer’s Day. A few Nubank’s PJ account customers and PF customers who have a CNPJ and an active Nubank account were chosen to inaugurate the showcase, according to predefined selection criteria.
