Nubank is among Brazil’s 100 Most Influential Companies
The company is highlighted in the Innovation category of Veja Negócios’ award; Merco's reputation ranking also recognizes Cristina Junqueira and David Vélez among the best leaders in the country

São Paulo, April 29, 2024 – Nubank, one of the world’s largest digital financial services platforms, is among Brazil’s 100 most influential companies, standing out as one of the top 20 companies in the Innovation category. The list by Veja Negócios, in partnership with LIDE – Group of Business Leaders, uses criteria such as turnover, profitability, reputation, innovation, pioneering, leadership, and ESG policies to highlight the companies that represent the best in the market in the country.
According to the publication by Veja Negócios magazine, Nubank stands out for its innovation due to some of its latest launches, such as the feature in the app that allows customers to buy and sell USDC, one of the most globally transacted stablecoins. The article also mentions Nu’s recognition as one of the country’s most valuable brands, ranking fifth in the Kantar BrandZ 2024 ranking and posting $8 billion in revenues in 2023, with a net profit of $1 billion.
Cristina Junqueira and David Vélez Stand Out in the Merco Leaders 2023 Ranking
Cristina Junqueira and David Vélez, co-founders of Nubank, are among the top names in the Merco Leaders ranking, one of the most important in Brazil for assessing the reputation of companies and leaders. Cristina Junqueira now holds third place, and David Vélez takes 16th place among the country’s top 100 executives.
Recently, Nubank was also listed 10th in the overall ranking of the 100 best companies in corporate reputation and second in the financial services segment. This reaffirms the company’s strength in Brazil’s business landscape, emphasizing innovative practices, corporate responsibility, and exemplary leadership.
The Corporate Reputation Business Monitor, Merco, has been evaluating the reputation of Latin American companies since 2000, considering various views from representatives of NGOs, government, press, trade unions, company directors, and specialists. To compile the ranking, thousands of interviews are conducted in the year preceding the launch, the results of which are audited by KPMG.
