Nubank is listed in Merco Companies and Leaders for the fourth time in a row
The company made the top 10 in the corporate reputation business monitor for the first time; David Vélez and Cristina Junqueira were also highlighted among the best valued leaders

Sao Paulo, Brazil, March 9, 2023 – Nubank, one of the world’s largest digital banking platforms, was listed for the fourth year in a row in the corporate reputation business monitor Merco Companies and Leaders Brazil. The 2022 edition ranked Nu in 8th place overall (up from 15th last year) and 2nd in the Financial Services list (up from 3rd last year). In addition, David Vélez, founder and CEO, and Cristina Junqueira, co-founder, were also listed among the best valued executives in the Merco Leaders ranking, in the 21st and 4th position respectively.
Merco is a Corporate Reputation Business Monitor, and a leading reference in corporate reputation in Latin America. The monitor, launched in 2000, is the first audited monitor in the world and undergoes an independent review from KPMG following the ISAE 3000 standard.

Nu has been paving a solid path of steady growth in the ranking since the first time it was listed. From #42 in 2019, to #38 in 2020, followed by a huge leap of 23 places, reaching #15 in 2021. The increase in reputational perception among stakeholders highlights Nubank’s work to build one of the world’s largest digital financial services platforms, reshaping the industry and currently removing complexity fom around 75 million customers in Brazil, Mexico and Colombia.
Last year, Nubank was also listed in the Merco Responsibility ESG Brazil Ranking for the third time, positioned in 20th place overall (up from 47th in 2020) and 3rd in the Financial Services list (up from 6th in 2020).
