Nubank is one of TIME’s 10 Most Influential Finance Companies of 2026

São Paulo, Brazil – April 28, 2026 – Nubank, one of the largest digital financial services platforms in the world, was recognized by TIME as one of the 10 Most Influential Finance Companies of 2026. This year marks the launch of the inaugural TIME100 Companies: Industry Leaders, an expansion of the TIME100 Most Influential Companies that dives deeper into 20 sectors to look at the companies shaping their industries.

TIME underscored Nubank’s ability to scale, remain profitable, and expand into heavily regulated markets, while continuing to broaden access to financial services across Latin America.  By the end of 2025, Nubank reached 131 million customers across Brazil, Mexico and Colombia, generating  $16.3 billion in annual revenue. Over the same period, the company launched more than 100 new products and features, reinforcing its strategy of rapid, customer‑centric innovation.

This recognition comes at a pivotal moment in Nubank’s international expansion. In January 2026, Nu received conditional approval for a U.S. national bank charter, a milestone in the company’s long-term strategy to expand its operational footprint and product offerings in the United States. 

TIME, one of the world’s best-known news magazines, published in the United States, has recognized Nu for the fourth time. The company has already appeared three times on the TIME100 Most Influential Companies list.
