Nubank enabled more than R$1 billion in purchases through its marketplace

This amount corresponds to the total sales made by Nubank's marketplace partners since January; the platform continues to expand and now adds new retailers such as Americanas, Shoptime e Submarino

São Paulo, September 28, 2022 – Nubank, one of the world’s largest digital financial services platforms, has enabled more than R$ 1 billion in sales through its marketplace since January 2022. In the same period, over 10 million customers were directed by Nubank to its partners.

“We are very happy and proud of the rapid evolution of Nubank marketplace in such a short period of time. The numbers show that we are increasingly present in our customers’ lives, including in what goes beyond the financial journey, helping them to achieve what they want or need with offers and advantages. On the other end, we also continue to deliver value and relevance to our marketplace partners”, comments Juan Carlos Guillermety, marketplace area leader at Nubank.

New partners in Shopping

The Company also announced the addition of new merchants to the platform, such as Americanas, Shoptime, AliExpress, and Submarino through a partnership with the affiliate network Rakuten Advertising. 

In addition to the entry of new players, the partners already available in Nubank Shopping – such as Renner, Buser, Netshoes, among others – will go through a transition from offering discounts to offering cashback – which will be paid directly to clients in Nubank’s app, to be used as they wish. The new features will be made available gradually to the entire customer base in the coming weeks.

Launched in November last year, Nubank’s Shopping Mall currently has more than 20 handpicked partners in strategic categories and can be accessed directly from the company’s app. Customers can shop easily and securely in specific product categories (fashion, games, travel, pet, among others), with discounts, coupons, and cashback.
