São Paulo, July 17, 2026 – Nubank has been named Latin America’s Best Digital Bank by Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026. This marks the third consecutive year Nu has been recognized by Euromoney and brings the company’s total number of Euromoney awards to nine.
Founded in 2013, Nubank is the leading digital bank in Latin America and serves more than 135 million customers across Brazil, Mexico and Colombia as of the first quarter of 2026, including 115 million in Brazil, over 15 million in Mexico and almost 5 million in Colombia.
Nu’s momentum has also been reflected in its financial performance. In the first quarter of 2026, the company surpassed US$5 billion in quarterly revenue for the first time. In Mexico, Nu reached break-even and received authorization from the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV) to begin operations as a bank, becoming the first Sociedad Financiera Popular (SOFIPO) to receive approval to transform into a bank in the country.
Over the past 13 years, Nu has helped expand access to financial services at scale. According to the latest Data Nubank study, the institution has already banked 31.5 million people in Brazil, a number equivalent to nearly one in five adults in the country. The study also shows that, across all regions of Brazil, around 30% of the population has chosen Nubank as their primary financial institution. Through 2025, Nubank customers accumulated savings of R$134.7 billion in fees and annual charges.
