Nubank offers additional credit card limit for Pix transactions

São Paulo, May 25, 2023 – Nubank announces this Thursday (25) Additional Limits for transactions made via Pix using the credit card. The new feature allows customers to make Pix transactions with their credit card without compromising its regular limit, leaving it free for other transactions and purchases. The feature is already available for eligible users.

“Limit increases are one of our customers’ top requests, and the Additional Limit for Pix on credit transactions is a way for us to responsibly address that by increasing purchase power and concentrating spending and payments in one place. The main goal of the new feature is to grant more financial autonomy for customers to choose how they want to pay for their expenses without compromising their credit card”, says Jeremy Selesner, Nubank’s Card Area Director.

In 2022, Nubank announced the Additional Limit to pay boletos (bank payment slips with barcodes) with the credit card. Now, this feature is expanded to transactions via Pix on credit, a growing choice among Brazilians. The limit amount varies from person to person, as it is defined by a credit analysis algorithm, which is constantly updated based on the customer’s financial profile. Therefore, the Additional Limit will not be fixed – it may change over time.

How to know the available amount of Additional Limit?

Customers can check if and how much additional limit they have when paying a boleto or making a Pix transaction on credit. If any additional limit is available, the tag “Additional Limit” will be visible when choosing credit card as the payment method.
