Nubank listed among Fast Company’s World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2023

With nearly 75 million customers across the region and a growing portfolio, the company is being recognized for “changing how Brazil banks” and the innovative launch of Caixinhas (Money Boxes) that help customers plan and grow their savings

São Paulo, March 2, 2023 — Nubank, one of the world’s largest digital banking platforms, was featured in Fast Company’s prestigious World’s Most Innovative Companies list. This year’s edition highlights the businesses at the forefront of their respective industries, which are paving the way for the innovations of tomorrow. Nubank earned the standing of #5 in the top 50 global list and #1 in the Latin America category. This is the third time the company has been featured in the global list and the second time occupying the first position in Latin America.

Fast Company editor-in-chief Brendan Vaughan highlights that “the list compiles some of the most cutting-edge groundbreakers who are changing our world every single day”. In this year’s edition, the magazine recognizes Nubank’s big strides in the development of its full-services digital platform and important innovations around the concept of self-driving banking, where customers have even further control over their finances. 

Among the many recent launches, Fast Company highlights the development of Caixinhas (Money Boxes), a feature for customers to personalize their savings which gives them more autonomy to save and invest by defining personal goals. By December 2022, more than 4.2 million customers were using the product. Other highlights include NuTap, a solution that allows small businesses and entrepreneurs to make sales by credit or debit card without a POS machine, and NuPay, an integrated solution for e-commerce checkout. In addition, 2022 was the year in which Nubank entered the crypto space. In less than three weeks after its launch, the product reached 1 million customers.
